For the third year, Cypress Wine Bar at Westin Bellevue is turning its patio over to the good people at Georgetown Brewing and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington and Alaska for a grilling, swilling good time in the name of charity. This year the event takes place this Thursday, July 12th from 5-7pm, where the proceeds from the last of the Georgetown Bob’s Brown Beer and sundry summer delights will be donated to Ronald McDonald House.
Every May 14th, Cypress is among a handful of restaurants pouring from kegs of Bob’s Brown Beer from Georgetown Brewing, honoring the birthday of Bob Hirsch, a close friend of the brewers who lost his life to cancer at the age of 21. All of the proceeds from this limited release beer are donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities which support seriously ill children and their families by providing a “home away from home” during treatment.
Since Bob’s Brown Beer was first brewed just six years ago, more than $235,000 has been raised for the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, which can house up to 80 families per night. Over 80 percent of the operating funds for the house come from individuals, organizations and businesses, such as Georgetown Brewing and participating restaurants like Cypress.
Cypress is located at 600 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue. For more information log on to http://www.westinbellevuehotel.com/concerts-at-cypress
